Between Two Doms - Book #1Let me begin by saying I typically LIKE Becca Van's work. I have ALL of her series/stories including Pack Law (my favorite series), Slick Rock, Elite Dragons, Terra-form, & her miscellaneous sci-fi & `normal' ménage.Unfortunately, I cannot say that I like the Club of Dominance series, at all. It has nothing to do with the BDSM factor, as I DO like many authors whose work is primarily that genre - such as Tymber Dalton, who is much harder core. The 1st book in the series, Between Two Doms, was mediocre at best. The heroine, Charlie, was too wishy-washy for her own good. WHO strips at a job interview? Unless you're pole dancing, maybe? I don't care how hot the bosses are. Have some self-worth for goodness sake!As another reviewer noted, everyone fell in love within 48 hrs. Hmm... Really?*** Warning - some spoilers below:The sex scenes were somewhat hot. But, jeez! Not sure where to start here. The heroine has absolutely NO background in BDSM but the `Dom's' have her stripped bare & climaxing, on stage no less, on day 2, as they ask all their fellow Dom's to look at & evaluate the body of their sub, Charlie, who has NO problem with this? The Dom's were trying to drive home the point that she had a skewed body image & that she was beautiful. The Master's, Turner & Barry, request Charlie strip at her interview - seeing nothing wrong with this because they want her. They know absolutely nothing about her, but they want her. I'm confused. Aren't Dom's supposed to know their subs in order to meet their needs, especially since trust is THE major issue in such a relationship? How can you even begin to have that type of relationship without it?Every time I read the name Turner the movie Turner & Hooch came to mind because both `Doms' were horndogs. They seemed to operate under the philosophy of `See it - take it'. When Turner ticks off Charlie and `unintentionally' implies that she's basically a paid consort their answer was to apologize & then offer to let her tie up Turner - giving Charlie control for a change. Tell me how this works as an apology when Turner's punishment is a BJ? No man I know would say "Whoa! No! Please don't!" to that. At that point I kind of gave up on this story.Unfortunately, even though I wasn't a fan of this book I did buy the 2nd one in the series, Dominant Saviors. I won't buy the 3rd.Ms. Van, I do really like your other stories, but I think I'll pass on any more in this series. I'll be sure to check your others out though.

I wish I could give a book zero stars, but I couldn't figure out how.I am not sure how I stumbled on this book. I had no idea this was part of an ongoing series, as this was my first time reading this author. For the first time ever in my life, I wanted a refund. The book is horrible. No character development. A heroine that is weak, confused and just plain dumb. Three heroes also, with no character development. And to top it all off one of the main heroes "Jason" is an a$$. The book was filled with boring dialog that added nothing to the story, or provide any insight into the main characters. There were two-three pages of sick, inappropriate "I love you's" toward the end, that I guess was supposed to be touching. And the last pages of the book, jump into a set up for her next monstrosity. Word to the author: take the time to develop your characters, make them likeable, don't be so obvious that the ending of the book is really all about selling the next one.I am sorry, but there was nothing redeemable about this book, and I will not waste more money on this author.

I loved the storyline and just wish that the timeline would have been extended a bit more. I also really wanted to see the reactions of Charlie's mom and sister. That would have been perfect!

Loved this story it was really great.Charlie is desperate for a job , she has an interview to go to but when she gets there its not her usual bar tending interview, i liked charlies nature it was a pure delight and the 2 doms were wow

The entire series of Club Dominance is good. Great Characters that you want to cheer on, sexy and enjoyable reads. Sometimes the story moves to fast (time lapse doesn't fit) but I know the writer is trying to keep it moving. Real life just does go from point A to point B that fast. A little bit more thought in the timing of the characters lives would make the story more believable. Over all I really enjoyed the book and have read it multiple times.

I have not been able to get into this series. What reality are we in that two Doms ask a job applicant to strip as part of her interview. Even BDSM clubs are subject to some sexual harassment laws. These books would be longer (they are way too short) if the sub put up just a little bit of fight and there were some additional getting to know you scenes. Even the sex is ho hum

I was just looking for a job and the interview turned into me becoming a sub for two handsome men oh yeah love all Becca Van book spicy and hot and a bit of mystery

This is the first review I've ever written - but read LOTS and lots of books within this genre. After reading 50% of the book I'm banging my head against the wall wondering why in the world I bought the whole series before reading the first book. Absolutely NO character development. The "heroine" leaves one job because she's been hit on by her boss, yet strips and kisses the two doms she's never met before while interviewing for a job just because they tell her too. Really??? Good Gawd. What a waste of space on the reader, let alone the money!
